Spotty or Just Completely Dotty?

Ever since I can remember I've been lucky enough to be surrounded by animals and wildlife. Living in the Lake District until flying the nest for University, I was party to some of the most breathtaking scenery you're ever likely to witness. This, in turn meant I was lucky enough to have the space to horseride every weekend, watch woodpeckers in my back garden if the mood struck me and walk on the beautiful hillside with our lovely family pets.

Millie, the Labradoodle, the latest addition to the family

There's been dogs: a gentle Golden Retriever, Izzy, (my 12th birthday present) who had an unfortunate love of eating anything she came upon (and an equally unfortunate weak stomach) and our lovely, if a little stupid, Black Lab, Sam, whose favourite trick was stuffing the largest stick he could in his mouth and then running as fast as possible into the back of unsuspecting walkers knees.

Penny - the sweetest sausage dog alive

There's been cats - Mopsey, a stray who my dad fed dog food and who would happily lie wrapped around your neck purring and dribbling whilst you pottered round the house and Twizzle, a cat whom cat haters could use as a classic example of how cats 'use and abuse you' independent beyond words.

But now the limelight has well and truely landed with the most recent addition to the family, our Dalmation, Poppy. Seriously, try telling someone you have a dalmation and I can tell you exactly what will follow "Oh, how LOVELY, they are simply gorgeous, but, aren't they supposed to be a little, well, mad?"

Me, mad? How dare you...

Take a look and enjoy
